Smoked Porter

Interesting beer that I liked at first but really graded on me at end. Imagine a typical porter, brownish body, offwhite head, has some chocolate and toffee tastes with breadiness, but add to the aroma and taste a strong hot pepper sensation, that comes across as smokey in the aroma and taste for lack of a better word. Enjoyable and interesting, but for me as I drank the heat overpowered everything and the balance disappeared, akin to someone putting too much hot sauce on their food. Eventually, all you taste is the heat/pepper and I ended up having to drink a glass of water. If they tone down the pepper this could be a keeper.
