Had on tap and now from a growler. A dark Amber looking beer that pours with a nice thick head. A nice mellow flavor with a hint of citrus, but has a fairly complex rich taste. Kind of reminds me (taste wise) like Dogfish head IPA 90. The beer has a pleasant smell and after taste. I tried it first after a flight of fine IPA's and this stood out nicely. At 7% ABV it is right around a nice punch but not too hard. Does not have the alchohol taste.
If you like slightly darker IPA's I would recommend this and I hope Holy City keeps making this.
a little over priced. If they can produce this at a lower cost without sacrificing the quality I would rate this even higher.
