Growlers shared by Travlr and GT2 at the Berliner Bash. Pours a nice light golden wheat color with a fizzy white head. Good wheat presence and a nice lactic acidity with just a touch of stone-fruit character in the background. Flavor is really nice and light. Good touch of grain plus a nice acidity. Really a big fan of this one. Body is light and crisp. I could drink this all day.

Draft at Farmers' Cabinet.
Pours a hazy golden straw color with a one finger white foam head that quickly settles into thin ring. Spotty lacing left behind.
Slightly funky, earthy aroma with musty farmhouse yeast, grass, straw and citrus fruit. Strong lemon peel/citrus presence with a touch of sourdough bread.
Medium bodied with tart, puckering mouthfeel that's pleasantly sour without being acidic/acetic. Funky with some musty brett and lactic funk. Wheat elements noticeable with zesty spice, bread and crisp, sweet citrus. Lots of lemon zest giving off equal parts spice and sweetness. Crisp but dry and lightly sour. Lingering sourness with subtle vibegar in finish. Really well balanced and extremely quaffable.

Pours gold with a milky hazyness, little ring of bubbly white head and some spotty head. Scent brings a quick kick of lemon zest and watery apple cider, musty and damp grain come through, looking for some yeast notes. Taste follows suit, lemon zest and stroe cidery notes, strong lactic tartness, damp musty and earthy grain, little influence from the yeast, but im okay with that. Lighter side of medium bodied with lighter carbonation than desired. Grew on me quickly, put the style out of mind and this beer is quite unique and refreshing.

Pours a hazed straw yellow color with a thick crop of white head resting on top. Retains for a while before dissipating into some spotty film with a few patches of lacing.
A mix of slightly funky and refreshing in the nose. Straw and grain underneath a pleasant mixture of lemon peel and green apple. Hints of citrus and tartness with a light spice.
Slightly tart and acidic up front with a burst of green apple and lemon. Citrusy and zesty with a softening feel from the mild grain backbone. Straw and funk with an additional smack of tart fruit. Finishes a little dry and spicy.
Lighter medium body, well carbonated, invigorating and zesty on the tongue without going overboard. This one's perfect for warm weather, and I found a really pleasant balance between the mild grainy malts and tart fruit.

Enjoyed at Farmers Cabinet on 1/27/12.
Pours a murky hazy golden from what I can tell by the candle light. Definite carbonation, but minimal that leaves no lacing. This style typically does not score well for appearance. Aroma is of lemon citrus, earthy hay, and subtle grain.
Flavors are very solid for the style. Lactic tartness up front rounded out with a lemon and sour apple followed by a grainy and earthy finish. Pretty standard in an under-represented style. Mouthfeel is where this one really stands out with a refreshing bite of prickliness and a finishing cleanse that washes over the palate.
Overall, I gave this a 4, but I would have gone as high as a 4.5 if the ABV was more in line with the style and closer to 4-4.5%. A very well done beer by Terry.

Enjoyed Saturday afternoon at the candle-lit bar.
Body had a murky yellow color with the slightest ring of foam and faint lacing. It's rather hard to see the carbonation by candle light, but, from what i gather, this does a modest job of reflecting those that came before it.
Aroma is dry and musky, coupled with mild fruit notes and a slight milkiness. Scent is quite subtle, but an apple's tartness does show as it warms.
Touches of lemon and apple are prominent in the flavor profile. I'm surprised by the lack of banana esthers and the rather rich body, which provides a more pronounced dryness. A green apple tartness dominates the conclusion after it warms up a bit.
It's thin at the open, but resonating dryness seems to add body, and, in hindsight, makes for a more drinkable beer.
This is a nice stab at the Berliner Weisse and it's always cool to see an American version of this oft-forgotten style.
