On tap at Farmer’s Cabinet. Pours a clear golden color with a nice white head and some spotty lacing s it goes down. The nose carries some nice floral hops and a touch of wine, though not quite as interesting as the regular version. Whether it was time in the barrel or the wine coming over the top against the base beer, it just didn’t pop quite as much as the base did. With that said, still quite tasty. Nice floral and barrel notes along with a touch of spice.

Draft at the Boilermaker in Philadelphia, PA.

Pours a slightly hazy, pale golden yellow color with a 1.5 finger frothy white head that slowly settles into a thick lasting ring. Streaks and spots of lace left behind.

Slightly musty, funky aroma with a subtle barrel presence.  Some earthy farmhouse funk, grassy hops and zesty spice followed by bread, citrus, dry oak and faint vinous fruit.  Doesn't seem like much time was spent in the barrel.

Medium bodied with a crisp hop bite and zesty spice character up front that lingers over the other notes into an herbal, minty finish.  Again barrel presence is minimal with some dry oak but I'm not picking up much red wine flavor.  More base beer than anything with grassy, spicy hops,  zesty pepper, funky yeast and light fruit.  Odd medicinal finish that lingers.
