Wife picked a growler of this from the brewery, so big thanks to Amyliz4! Reviewed from notes.

Pours a reddish amber out of the growler into a tulip. Nose brigs a slight tartness and some fresh cranberries. Taste is smilar with a bit of added sweetnessm. Medium body and good carbonation. Somewhat unique and not half bad.

Nice to have these guys in my "backyard." Was able to fill a couple growlers at the brewery today. Picked up one of this beer and the minor dementia as well.

Appearance: Look is a deep red & brown. Poured into a Blue and Gray hefeweizen glass. One finger head with spotty lacing left in the glass.

Smell: Slight tart cranberry smell but not that strong

Taste: That characteristic fruity, cranberry taste. A bit of hop bitterness remains on my tongue.

Mouthfeel: Light carbonation, I'd prefer a little more. Nice feel, a bit heavier than a light beer.

Drinkability: One could drink plenty of this. The tartiness isn't overpowering so this would not prevent you. Mild ABV lends this as a fine session beer during the christmas season.

Try their others!

Picked this up from brewery. This is the 2008 version of the beer. It would be the first time I have tried this particular beer from Blue & Gray Brewing.
Aroma: Tart and what I think is a citrus aroma smell. It's pretty subtle.
Appearance. How do I describe this beer. It's a muddy reddish brown. I would imaging this is because of the cranberry in the beer.
Flavor: Tastes of cranberry are hidden there. It's tangy and slightly tart. Not at all what I expected but very pleasant.
Mouth feel: Low carbonation. Hardly no after taste.
Overall impression: I like what is in this bottle. The slight tarty taste makes this an easy drinker. There is hardly any head in pour. You could easily enjoy with Christmas dinner.

750ml bottle shared courtesy of weeare138.

Poured a deeper reddish brown color with a smaller sized head. Aromas of mainly tart cranberries with some caramel and citrus in the background. Tastes of tart cranberries and caramel. The cranberries was stronger in the aromas than the tastes.

Thanks to oelergud for the trade...
Appears a dense, dark brown with an auburn hue and a small white cap. Spotty lacing is left all around the glass.
Smell is of honey, mild cranberries, fuity sponge cake, and some caramel.
Taste is of light cranberry tartness with a mild fruit and cakey yeast, along with mild flavors of caramel and cocoa running along the palate.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, sticky, and dry with sweetness up front and a combo of sweet fruit and bitterness for a moderately dry finish.

Purchased directly from the brewery, poured from a 750 ml bottle.

Appearance; Pours a murky brown with ruby red hues shiny through, topped with an off-white head that last to the last drop. Ample lacing is left on the glass.

Smell: Fruity sweet with cranberries, brown sugar and caramel with just a slight hint of citrus thrown in for good measure.

Taste: Starts very tart with a mouthful of cranberries that is followed by some brown sugar and caramel in the middle. The finish is more tart cranberries but this is also where the hops make a showing with a nice lingering bitterness on the tongue long after the swallow. Very dry with alcohol well hidden.

Mouthfeel: Medium and somewhat viscous with little chunks of cranberries. Very dry with ample carbonation.

Drinkability/Notes: A nice Christmas beer with tons of tart cranberries with just enough caramel and brown sugar to offset the tartness. Hoppy in the finish with a lingering bitterness and very dry. You definitely need to like cranberries to like this beer. A really nice effort from the folks a Blue and Gray. Not an everyday beer but definitely worth picking up during the holiday season. Seek and enjoy.

Fresh from the brewery picked up today.
Opaque cloudy looking mahogany and ruby body with light coming through at the edge. Amazing rocky yet silky brown head with a reddish head. Great retention and really beautiful lace.
Very mild scent of malt and cranberry.
Sweet spice and tart cranberry medley. Some marcipan. Aftertaste is a very perfect tart cranberry and hops lingering flavor.
Medium body with some coating and a dry finish.
Very drinkable and a delicious beer. A must try for all who love cranberries, if you do not, you'll probably not like this brew.

Fresh from the brewery, this beer requires that you like cranberry. Pours a cloudy red with light barely peeking through at the edges. Big brown-pink foam, stubborn and somewhat sticky. Smells like a bowl of cranberry (without any sugar). Now, I like fresh cranberries in my winter cream soups, tart and crunchy. This beer falls short on the crunchy, but it nails the juice flavor. The base for this beer is the Fred Red Ale which doesn't have quite the body that this beer has. Good medium to full mouthfeel, excellent finish of berry skin and malt character. While this would normally be posted in the fruit beers, it is a fruit infused red ale, thus the category.

Tasty. Only available two weeks per year. I'm going back to get some more.
