The beer pours a nice glowing orange color with a definite yeasty cloudiness to it. There is some sediment in there which is also reassuring.
It has the straight Bavarian Hefe yeast nose of bananas and cloves, but the head dissipates way too quickly to a thin layer of almost nothing. I was really hoping for an alive frothy head.
The taste is all yeast and spice. Strong clove taste to it that is so strong it's almost peppery. Banana-y flavors are present as expected. There's not a whole lot of carbonation in this brew and it tastes a bit too smooth because of it, also making it taste rather thin.
It's very drinkable, I just wish that it had more of a signature. I think they were going for that with the clove flavor, but it needs more carbonation to stand on it's own.
All around good refreshing beer though. Awesome label.
