Our Korbinian, the full-bodied, dark Doppelbock with light brown foam, wins beer-lovers over with a balance of fruity hints of plums and figs, a dark malt aroma - reminiscent of toffee, nuts and chocolate. Its roasted flavour goes well with smoked meat and fish as well as venison and poultry. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

Pours a beautiful Crystal brown with saturated red hues and a light brown head. Notes of caramel, chocolate, and toffee dominate. The mouthfeel is relatively light for a Doppelbock. A slight alcohol tinge is noticeable at chilled temps but as the beer warms they disappear. Highly recommend drinking this closer to room temp than you're used to. Superb.

It is a good beer and really does have notes of plums and figs. The mouthfeel is a little flat. The head is not lasting. There is no lacing. The aroma is one dimensional sweetness. Overall, it is still a decent beer because it tastes good.

This beer pours a chocolate brown with a small head. Aroma is light semi-sweet chocolate with a hint of hops. Mouthfeel is good, doesn't feel like 7.4% or taste like it

This classic old century brew pours dark coffee with light brown foamy cap on draught at Ludwigs Biergarten Mountain Gate. Sweet beautiful notes of fig, plum, creamy dark chocolate, caramel coffee malt and love make this a true gold standard German brew in its Doppelbock class at 7.4% ABV & 32 IBU.
