Draught: This one pours a clear, amber color. There was a very small white head that left a little lacing. It has a lighter aroma. Some spices, malts, but no real sweetness. Some biscuit and faint earthy hops. The taste is good. No sweetness, but malty, faint spices and some biscuit. A good Oktoberfest.

On Tap at the source.
Pours a light copper color with a slight white ring of a head that while small in size it did stick around until the end. Smells lightly of melanoid with a pilsner malt aroma and a little bit of a sharp earthy hops. Taste is caramel, melanoid, brown bread, fruity with a light earthy hop taste. Medium body and level of carbonation with a creamy smooth mouthfeel. This is probably not a lager judging from the fruity flavors and the sharp bite and general non-smoothness of this brew. OK brew, but I'd rather have someone a different Oktoberfest.

Had a pint on my most recent visit to TCT.
A: Burnished bronze with copper kettle highlights. The pour I had was headless save for an off-white ring around the rim. No lacing to speak of.
S: A heady punch of caramel malts.
T: And the caramel continues on your first taste, giving way to a roasty toastiness as your swirl it around on your tongue. This one has a sort of a butterscotch aftertaste on the end. Sweet overall.
M: Buttery smooth with only a minimal amount of foam.
O: If you're at Tullycross and in the mood for a good fall beer, this is a good option. Compares favorably with Sam Adams's and Narragansett's Octoberfest brews.
