On tap at the brewpub on 01/18/2012.
Served in a tumbler.
Opaque black in color beneath a creamy, coffee colored head with stable retention. Ringed lacing throughout once the head recedes. The aromas are rich milk and dark chocolate with notes of oak. Deep, rich flavors with notes of peat. The alcohol character is bulky with a sharpness that is quite unbalanced. The finish is bitter with a cutting slickness. Full in body, the texture is on target for the flavor.
