2009 vintage cask, poured into a half pint glass at Tullycross Brewery in Manchester, CT. Semi see-thru brown hue with nice foaming and lacing throughout the life. A quite pleasant anise and mango smell and flavor. This is a very sweet barleywine in the aftertaste -- that will greatly affect some people's feelings about this. Personally, it got a little too sweet as it warmed. I liked this beer a lot, regardless.
