Had this on tap on Valentine's Day at Tullycross Tavern in Manchester, CT. The Silk City Stout is a decent 5% stout normally that carries a slightly bitter yet smooth body. However, this chocolate-cherry version just didn't really do it for me. The chocolate wasn't bitter enough, and the cherry pretty flamboyant in its sweetness. I didn't think these matched up with the body of the stout, and this ultimately turned out to be just another Valentine's Day gimmick beer. I would stick to the regular stout which is not bad.
