Served on cask into a pint glass at the Bon Accord in Glasgow in early 2011. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a clear copper-gold colour. Head is thin but of fair retention. Generally appealing.
Sm: Fresh barley and malts. Just the usual suspects here; any hopping is mild. No yeast character comes through. Fresh and appealing.
T: Just getting middling generic barley and malts. Bittering hops are way too present, destroying the balance. Bitterness lingers through the finish. Poorly built. Simple. No complexity or subtlety here.
Mf: A bit smooth. It does get dry and coarse on the climax but it's ultimately insufficient to really coax out the flavours. Flat. Weak.
Dr: Shite for the style. Shite for the price. Wouldn't get it again. The cask serving isn't doing it any favors either.
