Toad Brewery Doncaster. "Tadpole." Served on-cask into a pint glass at the Bon Accord in Glasgow. Reviewed from notes taken in January or February 2011.
A: Pours a thin pathetic head. Awful retention, thickness, and cream. Body colour is a simple amber.
Sm: Malty, some generic hops, and dirty barley. Quite bland. Nothing stands out.
T: Strange. Bitter open gives way to a crappy body composed entirely of generic malts and some barley. Finish is unnecessarily bitter. Unremarkable overall. Not flavorful or enjoyable.
Mf: Too smooth. Watery. Dry. Doesn't complement the flavour profile at all.
Dr: Generally shite. Priced highly for the lack of discernable quality. Watery garbage. Cask doesn't do this any favors.
