Purchased a 12oz. bottle of this at G Brothers Smokehouse in San Luis Obispo earlier tonight. Paired it with some fish tacos.
12oz. twist-off bottle poured into a mug.
Appearance: Poured out entirely flat. Bummer. No head whatsoever. Body is hazy and apricot-colored. No lacing.
Smell: Residual sugars (reminiscent of amateur extract home brews), wheat, and hints of funk, floral hops, and earth were all I could find. The overall aroma was very mild, probably exacerbated by the lack of carbonation.
Taste: Wheat, lemon-lime, and paper. As with the nose, the taste is very mild overall. On top of that, the noticeable flavors aren't too good.
Mouthfeel: Completely flat, which makes it much harder to judge the other aspects. There's just enough malt to distinguish this from water, and a faint wheat flavor lingers into the aftertaste. Not much else I can say.
Overall: I'll happily replace this review once I try a carbonated version of this beer, but as it stands there's not much to be proud about in this one. One of the lightest, blandest craft beers I've ever had. Reminded me of Gatorade Propel.
