This beer pours a bright gold with a large head. The aroma is bright and funky, with black pepper, white flowers, lemon peel, wet hay, kiwi skin, cantaloupe, and bubblegum. The flavor is classy and lithe, with mild lemon flesh, white pepper, clove, elderflower, bubblegum, barnyard, and bulgar wheat. The mouthfeel is light with mild sudsy carbonation. Overall a really nice, understated beer, but with some interesting tart twists.

Clear golden pour with a small head. Big funky and sour aroma. Taste is lightly tart with citrus, earth, and barnyard flavors. Light bodied and drinks easy...very refreshing.

Rollingstoner - Olvade Brewing Co
Sour Ale with Elderflowers
No discernable bottling date
L - 1/2 finger head atop a bright yellow body.
S - citrus and floral. A bit of vinegar in the nose as well.
T - red wine vinegar at first. Floral middle. Low sweetness. Some funk. Moderately tart.
F - light body with medium carb.
O - It says on the bottle that this is a summer beer, so I'm guessing this has some age on it. I got it from a friend of a friend so no idea on it's age or handling. I don't taste anything I would call Elderflower, but it's nicely tart and well made. I would buy this if it had distro here.

Rollingstoner pours a hazy golden color, with a small, but lacing head. Light sweet aroma, with a hint of lemon. Taste is light, but full, creamy, hints of earth and citrus, and finishes with a very slight tartness. Good feel. Overall, its very easy to drink, with a nice Belgian flavor.

Pours a hazy honeygold colour. Smells a little sour, lots of elderflower, a little sweet, and a faint banana. Tastes light, crisp, light elderflower, Belgian yeasts, and a little dry at the end.

Appearance: Hazy yellow, ok head.
Smell: Lemon, spices, pepper.
Taste: Tangy citrus-mainly lemon. Spices, mainly coriander throughout. Finishes with a tartness, dry.
Overall: I'd seen this BPA around but didn't pick it up until my local store put it on closeout. It was still pretty good despite sititng on the shelf for several months. A nice, light, tangy and tart Belgian pale that would be a good choice in the summer.

Hazy yellow body with a small white cap. Aromas of yeast, citrus, hops, corn, grain. The elderflowers add a nice touch. Light in body with low carbonation. Mildly tart with prominent floral character. Complex and interesting.

I’d love to see some more variety from Olvalde, who makes some good beers…& some not-so-good beers. 22 oz. bottle split with my wife.
The pour is clear orange until about 17 ounces in, when there’s an explosion of sediment that looks like a Guinness commercial, stained orange particulates billowing through the liquid. Minimal head. Nose brings the tropics + bananas. Light.
Rollingstoner is not good. I’m not sure if the funk is intentional or not, but it’s dominant: an earthy sour reminiscent of having ones face pushed deep into the mud outside of a municipal waste dump. Flowers? Not unless there was a Bachmans sending trash to this Superfund site. The under carbonation doesn’t help, either. Five sips to identify a few flavors & I’m out.
If this was meant to be funky, it ought to be on the label. Even if it was found with a driver’s license on the body, it wouldn’t matter. I hate to bang on a truly talented brewery, but this is a failure on almost every level. Can’t finish it.
