Poured from a can into a pint glass.
Forms a fluffy white head with good retention atop a glowing auburn body. Bread pudding dominates the nose, with pronounced tangerine and grapefruit beneath. Hints of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove linger.
The medium-heavy but silky mouthfeel, bready malts and buttery finish remind of a California Common, but a distinctive hop bite reveals its true character. Some citrus and resin balance it all out perfectly.
This is a unique, and remarkably good, beer. Well worth seeking out.
