Not a bad brew. This pale ale possesses a light spice aroma and flavor. A nice bitter quality weaves its way throughout the beer, Not a bad malt presence, just short of the Old Port Ale malt profile.

Presentation: 12oz brown bottle. No freshness date. Comical label. "Directions: 1. Take parrot off shoulder, 2. Secure eyepatch, 3. Swill one down, matey, 4. You can always swab the decks tomorrow" and "Salty Pete says swill responsibly or walk the plank!"

Appearance: Semi-hazy orange-amber coloured brew with a creamy white head.

Smell: Floral, malty, fruity, citric with biscuity malt aromas.

Taste: Smooth, medium-bodied beer with a crisp mouthfeel. Malty sweet with many levels of fruity flavours and sugary goodness. Notes of light wood linger amongst an assertive, earthy raw hop profile that is a bit citric with a moderate salty/spicy bitterness. Biscuit and some toasted flavours pull-thru as the beer warms. Finish is quite nice with linger hop flavours and sweetness.

Notes: Another great beer from Casco Bay Brewing. Highly drinkable, complex, classic in flavour and very well balanced. A perfect beer for Portland Pirates fans. You go Maine!
