Got this one from Plan B in Rotterdam
From a bottle into a snifter
Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels
Ingredients: Barley, oats, wheat, hops, water, yeast, cacao nibs, lactose, vanilla beans, peanut aroma and biscuit aroma.
APPEARANCE: Clear black pour yields a two finger, medium-thicker looking, creamy, light tan head with great retention. Clear black body with no real carbonation evident. Head slowly fades to full cap and leaves great lacing on the glass. Half wisp remains leaving lots of good lacing clinging to the glass as it empties. Looks virtually the same as the original but perhaps a touch darker.
SMELL: Basically the same as the original, with lots of cookie dough, peanut butter, hazelnuts, cacao nibs, vanilla and cream, chocolate chips cookies and some light roasted notes. A decent bourbon and oak layer under the adjunct wonderland here.
TASTE: Cookie dough, peanut butter, hazelnuts, vanilla and cream and some light bourbon notes up front. Matches the nose exactly. Big, bold and lingering finish of bitter chocolate and coffee, vanilla cream, cookies, peanut butter and nuts, with a nice roasted base through it. A light but present bourbon and alcohol base in there as well. Basically the original with a touch of bourbon barrel character, which is fine by me.
PALATE: Medium body and medium levels of carbonation. Nice and creamy on the palate, goes down fine and finishes a bit mouth-coating. A bit of bourbon heat lingers.
OVERALL: Another wonderful, adjunct laden, desert treat of a beer by Omnipollo. The barrel component to this one is rather minor overall, but since the base adjunct stout is so full of character, the hints of bourbon barrel are actually well-measured here. If it had become a bourbon bomb, the original loveliness would have been lost. As it is, this thing is top class. Highly recommend drinking this one if you come across it. Cheers!

12oz bottle. Served in a snifter glass. Pours a dark cola brown body, dark black hue, one finger mocha head, good retention, no lacing. Smell is phenomenal, absolutely perfect. Massive Reese's peanut butter cups, with vanillin, slight boozy smoky bourbon, light oak, cocoa, milk chocolate. It's pretty impressive, and a step above the base beer which is already impressive in its aroma. Flavour is vanilla, Reese's peanut butter cups, cookie butter, light vanillin, oak, milk chocolate, cocoa, touch of earth. It's certainly sweeter than the base beer and adds more complexity with the barrel treatment. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, a bit on the lighter side but still stands up to the flavours. Overall, this beer's nose is to peanut butter as FFF Bourbon Vanilla Dark Lord is to vanilla; which is to say, ridiculously intense and out of this world. It smells like liquid peanut butter cookies, and isn't all that far off from tasting like it, too.

On tap at Belmont Station.
The beer pours a blackish brown color with good head retention and lacing. On the nose, this beer is jus hilarious, as it smells like a liquid butter finger bar. I have to say I just love it, and can't imagine what the brewer did to get this beer to smell like this. Otherwise, there's a nice aroma of chocolate, vanilla and light toffee and bourbon. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely in this rich sweet beer, and the mouthfeel is full, soft and decidedly creamy. The beer was a bit hot and boozy initially, but as the beer warmed up, all of that dissipated. Alcohol is well integrated into the flavor otherwise, and I found myself enjoying this beer more and more as it warmed up and opened. Absolutely delicious. Another impressive (albeit pretty expensive - it was $6 for a four ounce pour) beer from the folks at Omnipollo.

Pours a very dark brown, almost black. Aromas of lactose sugars, peanut butter, creamy, cheesecake, VERY sweet. Tastes extremely sweet, very alcoholic, smooth, tiramisu, espresso notes, vanilla, cocoa, with little to no carbonation. Bitter hops, spicy finish, dark/sticky fruits, definitely a dessert-beer.
