Enjoyed on-tap from Gnarly Barley for their 4th anniversary. I was excited to try this as I am a fan of the other Prairie Stouts I've tried. Omniprairie is no exception, great beer!

Pours jet black with a small dark brown head. Smell is of sweet chocolate milk. Flavor is huge chocolate, caramel, vanilla, roast, and lots of warming alcohol. A terrific sipper.

On tap at Dr Dunderbak's, Tampa. Pours jet black with massive dark brown head, very dark head, Fades fast though. As strong and thick as this looks it doesn't have much smell to it. This stout tastes incredible! Super flavorful with chocolate dominating. The alcohol is very noticeable and warn. This is an incredible sipper. 4.75

two of my favorites getting together for this one, it literally tastes like nesquik powder from when i was a kid. i have to imagine a lot of the caramel sauce itself has fermented right out of this, because i really dont taste it, maybe a little of that burnt butter thing going on and some definite sweetness, but certainly not specifically caramel. the cocoa is dry and raw, balanced out generously by the milk sugar, creating a full bodied, borderline over flavored glass of midnight black sticky goodness. its thick and viscous as they come, one of those beers you just taste for a long time after its gone, in my case, most of the way back to denver from fort collins, no kidding, it sticks with you. filling and sweet like a cordial, almost like a concentrate or something, its intense, but delicious, but one is enough. this really takes me back to my youth though with the chocolate milk powder with the rabbit and the yellow can. i would love to try this without the lactose, they should do a version like that for a side by side...

Had this at Borefts 2015, right after Agamemnon Bourbon. Not as thick a pour as Agamemnon, still pitch black and with a very thin head with no kind of retention whatsoever. Smells like bourbon, oak barrel, maple syrup and caramel, as well as some cocoa, but the one aroma that was overwhelming my senses on the first few whiffs was, strangely (and pleasantly) olives. The taste follows the same notes as the smell, but takes it up a notch with something I cannot really identify - I just know this particular flavour is the same one I came across in a couple of other Prairie stouts I had: Bomb and Apple Brandy Noir. Overall, an excellent beer, with medium-light body and a spicy aftertaste.
