Thanks to beerisheaven for sending me this absolutely repulsive-sounding beer (& not sure I’m even reviewing it in the right place). 16 oz. stickered silver can that I approach with caution.
The pour looks like a guava-based mixed-drink. Thick, orange-yellow, turbid, flake-ridden, & what little carbonation exists vanishes quickly. Pretty cool. And I’ll be damned, it smells like strawberries, yogurt, vanilla. Beer? Screw beer.
Milkshake IPA doesn’t taste as outlandish as it sound, but it’s close. Vanilla-drizzed strawberries is my first impression, with moderate bitterness from the hops kicking around in the middle & confusing everyone drinking it (me). Backwaters include the aforementioned strawberry yogurt, orange juice, sharp citrus. Not milkshakey, but does feel pretty thick. I’d suggest putting this in nip bottles. A pint is overkill.
I planted a strawberry patch in my backyard three years ago & they are now spreading like very tasty wildfire. Despite the marketing, this doesn’t taste all that different than most of the ‘fruity’ IPAs that seem to be sprouting like milfoil. Good beer.

~11oz for near $6 a bottle.
Look: Good bubbly head and hazyorange.
Smell: I get some strawberries.
Taste: Not a fan of the lactose.Strawberries ae very subtle and it doesn't work in an IPA.
Feel: Nice mouthfeel. Wish it was more creamier. The bitterness from the hops are a turn off.
Overall: I am really disappointed considering the cost and it was a collab with tired hands. I don't think I would drink this again.
