Magic #666 Black Mango IPA
Omnipollo

Not particularly fond of this style, I wanted to craft a dark beer with the brightest flavours. Pitch black in color but with bright aromas of mango. Blind tasted you’d be forgiven for thinking that this was a glass of mango juice.

33cl bottle. Dark brown pour with a tan head and some sedimentation. Roasted malts, coffee, mango (very present in the aroma, not as much in the taste notes), dark chocolate, some pine. Very refreshing, with a medium to high carbonation and a hop bitter aftertaste.

L - Black with few brown particles, good beige head
S - Roasted and a bit of mango, chestnuts too
T - Roasted, dark chocolate, coffee, lactose, mango, pine, grapefruit. I was expecting more tropical flavours but it's still some good stuff
F - maybe a bit too much carbonation
O - This beer is like a porter boosted with hops. I don't know if I would call it a black IPA but it's balanced and bitter, so I quite like it

Really dark brown color with brown, milk coffee head. Aroma is really balanced. I get some milk chocolate, caramel but also fruity hops. Taste is also balanced, hoppy and fruity at first, slightly sweet and milky but gets quite bitter on the finish and aftertaste. Lingers with roasted malt, coffee and hops. Body is really creamy and soft but also well carbonated. Really good black IPA but I expected the mango to shine a bit more. It is fruity and hoppy though, really well done.
