OPBEG-3AH, Canned March 11, 2019.

Nice pale golden yellow. Hazy, with soft white head that rises to about two fingers of foam. Settles in an uneven ring around the rim of the glass.

Ripe pineapple, malt, and citrus on the nose. Sweet, with a lightly bitter hop presence that lingers on the back end.

Bitter citrus, floral hops, and hints of papaya on the palate. Fairly balanced, without much of an unwanted linger and a tinge of mango juice in the finish. Mildly dry, but very juicy.

Medium carb, dry (as mentioned). Juicy, crisp, clean.

Fairly nice IPA, aromas were better than flavors but still very enjoyable. Pours a nice hazy yellow color with some light fluffy white head and spotty lingering lacing. Smells of ripe fruity hops, some floral hops in the background, malt and vanilla. Tastes of lots of grapefruit, mango, papaya and tangerine fruity zest hops, floral hops, malt, vanilla and caramel. Smooth thin mouthfeel, mild, a little dankness in the finish. Good carbonation. Refreshing and flavorful, just a little bitter at the end and not quite as smooth or juicy as I usually like.

A thanks to the commander of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a hazy, bright yellow color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of citrus, tropical fruits. Taste is juicy, grapefruit, passion fruit, light orange peels, moderate bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

Welcome to New Omnipollo CANned Beer Sunday (Week 701) as I CANtinue to work on The CANQuest(tm)'s backlog here at Chez Woody! I am fresh from a nap following RetroFest Weekend 2018 & I am ready for a beer.

From the CAN: "Post-skate India Pale Ale".

The Crack! revealed a brimful craft CAN & my glass of choice was one of my smaller ones, so I went with a slow, gentle Glug, followed by an in-glass swirl. This raised a brief finger of fizzy, foamy, bone-white head that quickly reduced to mere wisps. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Straw-Yellow (SRM = > 2, < 4) with a Day-Glo tint, making it appear very bright in terms of it color, not its clarity. Nose had a tropical fruit sweetness, a pine resinousness, some dank greenness & some cattiness from that naughty kitty, Simcoe, who does her business & then hides in the shadows. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was kind of light, not overly bitter & actually made me think of an APA, vice an AIPA. Please bear in mind that it is important to review & rate to style & not to personal taste. Right now, it sits at 4.01 (Exceptional) & I CANnot, in good CANscience, give it those kinds of numbers. The taste was very catty with some grapefruit citrusiness & the dank greenness as noted on the nose, but the flavors did not mesh overly well, coming across more jangly than balanced. Finish was dry, slightly bitter, but odd tasting. Enough so to the point that one was plenty. YMMV.

Poured a cloudy yellow body with minimal head. Aroma is sharp and juicy with hints of dankness. Smooth, fuller body, sharp acidity finish with a juicy sweetness and decent balance.

Good starting head of four fingers but it settles within thirty seconds leaving few spots on the glass. The color is cloudy gold.

This starts off with a thin smell of very pale malt.

The taste is far more bitter than the aroma suggests, but it is not complex. The malt, however, while diminished, does feature some unusual characteristics such as being dry yet creamy. Good body with decent carbonation. The finish provides a longer aftertaste. Overall, an easy to drink brew without any challenges but also with little intrigue.
