330 mL bottle. Black body. Smells of maple all over. A little nutty malts, oak, and bourbon. Tastes really sweet. Strong maple and bourbon. Oak dries it out a little. Bourbon and oak in the finish. Very boozy. Medium heavy and slow to drink. It's a very tasty beer, but it's sweet and very boozy.

Taste just like a great morning - amazing hints of maple syrup, and reminds of eating thick maple pancakes, with hints of coffee, the perfect stout to remind you of amazing mornings

A 330ml bottle with a best before date of 2nd February 2021. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Black in colour with a thin mocha brown head that dissipated quickly and left only sparse to no lacing.
Aroma: From afar, I got pancakes and maple syrup. Closer up I got light roast, sweet maple, chocolate, caramel, bourbon and maybe a touch of toffee.
Taste: Sweet, very sweet, too sweet for me. Maple syrup, caramel, chocolate, bourbon.
Mouthfeel: Sticky, full bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: The maple filled aroma was great, but the sweetness in the taste was way overdone. Normally sipping Imperial Stouts became quarter sipping as it was just way too much. And at times I even had to eat something like bread just to balance out the sweetness. It took a long time for me to finish this one, and it wasn’t enjoyable the whole way.

so many of the omnipollo beers border on the absurd, but this fully crosses that line into the almost comical realm, delicious, but perhaps the most forced flavor i have ever known in a beer. the maple here is off the charts, its diabetic sweet, and is as thick as mixed concrete as we pass the glass around the table. wow. i can smell it from across the room when it gets poured, no exaggeration, and thats in a working brewery no less! the maple is natural enough, but it almost smells and tastes like this is equal parts huge stout and straight maple syrup, same texture as the syrup too, this drinks like taffy. i get strong coffee in here too which is nice, a needed respite from all the sugar, but its hardly enough to cut it or make it balanced in any real way. some good roast on it is nice though, and it calls up the deep grain complexion here too, but its maple on maple, especially on the finish and the aftertaste, which lingers through at least my next couple of beers after this one, and i burp it up all day. i think this needs a food context, like actual pancakes or something, as a beverage its a little out there, even a few ounces feel like overkill, and its as boozy as it is sweet. a novelty in a lot of ways, i can appreciate it for being as intense as it is, but i cant realistically see anyone wanting to drink much of it. it seriously fills the room with this warm maple smell. intense as they come, count on omnipollo for not recognizing any limitations...

Ridiculously sweet. I don't think I could finish a bottle by myself. I would have this as a desert. A good beer overall but only to share and ONLY after food

Poured from fridge temp into a snifter. Pours jet black with little head. Micro bubbles lacing the inside surface of the glass. The nose immediately radiates from the glass, overwhelming the senses. The initial thought is literally a big stack of pancakes doused in maple syrup. It's always tough to call these beer, but it sure smells like heaven. A true treat. Getting a slight amount of coffee on the nose, and a good amount of vanilla and marshmallow. Smells creamy and syrupy. Taste follows the nose nicely, although a good burst of coffee comes through immediately. Bourbon comes through nicely here. Getting nice chocolate, maple, and dark fruit flavors. Cherries and blackberries mostly. The mouthfeel is incredible. Completely coats the mouth. Sticky, creamy, and robust. Overall, this is a sweet bomb with some really nice maple and coffee notes. The barrel aging definitely compliments this nicely.

Pitch black thin mocha head.
Amazing smell like a real pile of pancakes covered with maple. The bourbon brings nice notes, coffee on the side
Big taste, really big. Roasty coffee, vanilla, maple pancakes. The maple brings a strong sweetness which is balanced by an earthy bitterness. The 12.5% ABV is absolutely not noticeable
Velvety mouthfeel. Quite thick, moderate carbonation.
One of their best Imperial stouts, which is a strong thing to say

From Hopt.es. In Teku glass. Playing Avernum 3. Plenty of maple syrup, with alcohol a bit more noticeable than desiderable and absolutely no foam at all

Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2018, Yellow Session. Aroma has lots of maple syrup, dark sugar, malty background. Taste is sweet with maple and sugar syrup notes, bitter roasted malt on the finish.
