Creamy once again meets sour with a "crème brûlée" themed beer that's slathered with the puree of blueberry, blackberry and raspberry for a beer that's as refreshing as it is lush.

Omnipollo's Berry Blend verision of Pleroma teases the nose much the same way with the bright and tangy berry scent and with a backbone of orchard fruit, dried fruit, citrus and then the soothing scent of vanilla lurking in the recesses of scent. Deep and rusty mauve with murtky ruby highlights, the beer's frothy cap invites the first sip of hard candy, taffy, fruit concentrate, jam and smoothie.

As the flavors unfold, on the middle palate its sweetness is soon overtaken by sourness that takes the shape of lime, lemon, grapefruit, gooseberry, sour green apple and tangy white wine. Its berry medley of flavors are dense enough to take on black cherry flavors with gentle hints of prune, peach and fresh tobacco in its tar-like earthiness. Light leafy bitterness and the smoothness of heavy cream comes with the vanilla and lactose additions for balance, roundness and a simply luscious balance.

Medium bodied but also drying and plush, the beer's linger of candied sweetness and its milkshake-like creaminess resonates strongly in both taste and texture. A long cobbler and candy afterglow is accompanied with a brisk, briney kiss of sourness and musk to stay true to the original Pleroma.
