L: Poured from a tallboy can to a snifter glass. Had an orange / yellow color and a pretty cloudy consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy fairly long-lasting head. Fantastic lacing.

S: A decent, but not brilliant, aroma of hops, citrus fruit, a grassy quality, malt, and tropical fruit.

T: Tasted of a small amount of malt (mostly in the finish; not a big factor), some mild tropical fruit notes (passion fruit, in particular), a moderate amount of hops (quite bitter in the finish, but not obnoxiously so), some of the grassy quality (too much), and a good amount of citrus fruit (orange). An uneven flavor, but it has its good qualities.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a lively finish. Medium-bodied.

O: not my favorite Omnipollo beer, but still not bad. Worth a try.

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Orange golden with fluffy head. Hazy, pear nectar look. Bountiful aroma, melon, tropical, floral, stone fruit, a bit of everything. And the aroma changes from front to back. Taste is fruity and floral with a slight electric buzz from the hops. Thick and creamy. So much going on here, and so tasty.

16oz can poured into a Sam Smith nonic. Assured by distributor when purchasing that this batch can’t be more than two months old, probably younger.

A: Pours an unfiltered/cloudy straw gold color with ample white head and lacing.

S: Pungent Nelson hop-bomb nose! Lots of lime, tangerine, and white grape/white wine spritzer character. Good stuff!

T: More bitter and less fruity here but still Nelson-forward; dry white wine, tropical undertones, very tasty with a nice hoppy bite.

MF: Creamy soft body with delicate carbonation let’s the hop character shine; fairly bitter and dry.

O: This seems to score lower than I think it should (at least on Untappd) - I wonder if that’s because it’s hard to get fresh cans? I think this was a well executed Nelson NEIPA.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 11/2019. Pours very hazy deep golden/orange/amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big mandarin, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, white bread dough, biscuit, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge mandarin, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, white bread dough, biscuit, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of mandarin, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, white bread dough, biscuit, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and minimal lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.3%. Overall this is a fantastic hazy IPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish; nicely soft feel, and not overly aggressive. Fantastic Nelson Sauvin, Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hops; with a nice sized wheat/oat/malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and outstanding style example as expected of the brewery. Loved the hop profile as expected.
