Absolutely exceptional-- this Omnipollo brewed by Twelve Percent gets bonus points for being distinct in style and flavor with its champagne yeast and bright drinkability. The pour brings out a quality head of foam that lingers, and the carbonation holds on the tongue as well (maybe a little too much for my liking). Flavor is bright and very clean, almost floral on first taste, with just a touch of citrussy bitterness that perfects the aftertaste. Incredibly smooth. The can, which is fun, says it's a 7% beer, but there's not a hint of booziness that comes with other high ABV pale ales. I love it.

this is delicious pale ale, almost in a category of its own with the champagne yeast and the higher abv, the clarity and level of refinement, delicious beer. it is odd to me though that the can says made in the states, i didnt know these guys were doing that, and it seems a lot of the twelve percent stuff is coming out of the same facility under contract now, not a bad thing, probably way fresher tasting than this would be if it came from sweden, but it also kind of lacks that omnipollo interest, like different and less exciting hands touched this one, but whatever, i cant complain. its been awhile since i had one of their beers either way. this pops from the can, holds a tall white head for a few minutes before it settles, and is very bright looking. the aroma and flavor are identical, with a vinous element from the champagne yeast, some cut flowers, key lime essence, and bitter citrus character as well, but no real bite to it. some mandarin here, green buds, and an almost chamomile thing as well, herbal and drying and earthen. delicious really, and i can taste some pils malt in here, so all the elements are there, great balance and it drinks easy for its strength. very well made, even without the level of intrigue a lot of their beers have had in the past for me. i love the yeast in this, the dryness and the zing. only the price makes it a once in awhile splurge instead of an every day drinker.
