Julmust - Holiday Sour Beer

Now this was a surprise. The can says that this is a “Holiday Sour” beer so you’d be expecting a sour, you know, pale straw, highly carbonated - and then there’s something ebony black pouring out of the can. And then you’re in for yet a few more surprises.
Because when you smell it, it smells like coke. Maybe like RC Cola? Or rather Dr. Pepper? What is this? And then you drink it and you are way down the rabbithole.
It tastes slightly like Dr. Pepper but it’s spicy? And sweet? But at the same time quite SOUR? It’s not tart like A sour, but still it is sour. Honestly, it is as if you twisted a lemon into Dr. Pepper and maybe added some A&W Root Beer into the mix... a strange one. No beer taste AT ALL. But not bad.
Taste fades out very quick and you’re kind of lost all the while, trying to figure out what it is that you are drinking. For most of us I’d think it classifies as just a coke. Wonder why it is called a beer...
