I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local beer store located just around the corner. It poured an opaque dark with very thin tan ring head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had hazelnut, vanilla, roast and subtle chocolate notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet molasses malt base. There was subtle maple syrup presence with vanilla extract, dark fruit and chocolate highlights. The mouthfeel was fuller in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Nabbed it for less than $8 at my local singles store Lizardville during my 2 week Christmas break where i'm doing nothing but drinking every night and loving it. Not over doing it, holding back to about 2 beers a night, but i'm making them strong beers and In Plenty is going to be one of them. 12% so it's plenty strong. First off, this can is absolutely beautiful, i love the artwork on it. It is vibrant and colorful, it looks like Omnipollo's resident artist is Karl Grandin, and he did a fantastic job making this beer look inviting to try. The blues and greens are electric and make for a very attractive can. The beer pours out thick and black, with an extremely dark khaki head that rises about an inch off the surface. It's foamy and frothy and lingers for quite some time after poured. There's not a whole lot of smell to this beer, it's only got a tinge of coffee and chocolate to tickle my nose, but it's barely noticeable and i have to swirl the glass rather vigorously to release the aromas. The taste is extraordinarily sweet, this is practically all malt, in fact if someone were to ask me what a malty beer tasted like i think i would give this to them as an example. This tastes like raisin and cherry, emphasis on the sweetness of the raisin. Also a bit of chocolate, but it's sweet chocolate, not bittersweet. The label also says coconut and vanilla, and I agree although there's not a strong presence of these adjuncts. There's practically no bitterness in this beer to balance it out, it's nearly cloying. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, moderate amount of effervescence. Overall, it's not a bad beer, but less balanced than it could be. It's definitely on the sweet side, Can't give it top marks for that reason, but hey i'll drink it again if presented the opportunity.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque black in the glass with a thin, somewhat fizzy, dark khaki head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla and coconut; as advertised. Flavor follows, with dark toasted malt, milk and dark chocolate, vanilla and coconut. Chocolatey coconut finish. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess; nice mouth feel. A spot-on chocolate coconut stout that also has clear vanilla notes; very nicely balanced allowing each of the flavoring adjuncts to shine. I have always been a fan of Omnipollo stouts and I like this one a lot. Nothing really stands out on this one, but it is an excellently made, well integrated dessert stout with a fine mouth feel.

Omnipollo In Plenty Imperial Stout, 12% ABV. Pours thick and black with a ring of brown bubbles that left no lacing. Nose is coconut, chocolate, and vanilla. Taste follows with chocolate stealing the show, moderately sweet, slightly bitter. Thick and smooth mouth feel, overall outstanding.

Beer # 2000 on BA.

16oz can poured into a goblet.

Pours very dark black but not as thick as other pastry stouts I've seen; smaller dark mocha head fades relatively fast. Warm notes of chocolate, coconut and nutty pastry on the nose, roasty as well with impressions of espresso to cut into the dessert-like sweetness. Thick body hides the alcohol fairly well, and the palate reveals some real 'candy bar' flavors of coconut, milk chocolate, almonds/Almond Joy, coffee, roasted malt, sweet and full-bodied but also balanced, I would say. This doesn't kill you with cloying sweetness, and is fairly easy to drink.

A delicious, well-executed adjunct/pastry stout.

Poured from fridge temp. Pours jet black with little head. I get mostly roasted malts and some charred wood on the nose. I'm not picking up much vanilla, coconut, or cocoa nibs. A bit of tobacco, coffee grounds, and ash. The taste is a 180 from the nose. Sweet, coconut, dark chocolate, still some tobacco, fudge, and vanilla beans. Definitely some burnt wood, leather, and a touch of soy sauce. It's good, but I kind of expected more from Omnipollo. Mouthfeel is nice and thick/creamy.

On tap at Moor Pat in Williamsville, NY.

This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head and no real lacing.

This smells like toasted coconut, milk chocolate fudge, roasted malt, and vanilla.

I’m surprised by the restrained sweetness on this one - restraint is not exactly the forte of Omnipollo. The coconut leads the way, adding a really nice toasty and creamy feel to this one. The roast of the base stout peeks out here nicely, with some chocolate and vanilla notes.

This is medium bodied, very creamy, with a really nice drinkability and no real booziness to it.

I expected a bacchanalian display of decadence here, and I somehow got a pretty balanced take on a pastry stout instead.

16oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left sticky patches of lace on the glass. It smelled of coconut, dark chocolate, vanilla, toffee and caramel. Strong toasted coconut taste with vanilla, chocolate and toffee sweetness.

Very nice head production and decent retention and lacing, with a solid 1 1/2 fingers of dark brown foam from a modest pour.

Very nutty and roasty aroma, with the coconut and cacao combining in a rich, earthy, almost woody fashion. It's certainly not what I expected on the nose, but it's a welcome surprise. A very pleasant beer on the nose, but far less sweet than the additives and ABV suggest.

If the nose doesn't quite imply a dessert stout, there's no such subterfuge on the palate. Rich, decadent, sweet, chocolatey, and creamy. The coconut adds a pleasant accent without being too strong; the sweetness is wonderful, but not cloying; the vanilla is a perfect creamy complement throughout the sip. Full-bodied and chewy.

This is a wonderful, decadent dessert stout, well worth the price tag. This is a fantastic candidate for aging in equally rich and potent bourbon barrels.
