Showing the softer side of tropical tang, Omnipollow turns the Gose style to an imperial tropical taste that's just as welcomed at the breakfast table as at the bar. This Bianca Lassi Gose is slather apricot, toasted almond, vanilla and marshmallow to become juicy beyond measure.
Light but bright orange-straw and basically opaque in its dense pastel tone, Bianca Apricot Almond Deep Vanilla Lassi Gose releases a fast but loose froth while drawing in the nose with stone fruit, tropical fruit, pastry toastedness and vanilla cream for a nutty and jammy take on sherbet. As its first sip reveals a bounty of sweetness, its foundation of flavors are a base on cream, cereal, marshmallow, marzipan and meringue that create a malty upstart.
But the focus turns quickly to the fruit that dominates the middle palate with that absurd fruit addition of apricot for a tangier, more deeply earthen and more succulent take on fruit rollups. With hints of lemon, lime, pineapple, white grape, crabapple and gooseberry, the underlying sourness makes a mark in the beer's balance before a more soothing coat of vanilla, almond and heavy cream become both tart and silk-like at the same time.
Full bodied and carrying a slight white wine balance, the beer's finish is tart and pastry-like with a bold flavor display that celebrates high flavor but sacrifices drinkability, refreshment, crispness or cleanliness. Like most of these intense Bianca series fruit bombs, the beer makes you thirsty as its basically an alcoholic marmalade in a glass.
