Fort Point is the first beer I tried from Trillium Brewing. I was blown away. Four years later as we are opening our church brewery I asked co-founder JC for the recipe and we got to brew this freaky Friday take on this legendary beer. Enthusiastically crafted at our church brewery in Sundbyberg, Stockholm, Sweden.

Copenhagen 31/5 2022. 33 cl can from Kihoskh, Sønder Boulevard, Kbh. V. Detailed pencil drawing of a very bulky lamp with Avery small bulb on the can.

Pours opaque hazy golden yellow with big white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as 0,3 cm thick, creamy blanket of foam obscuring the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of stone fruit mingling with sharp scent of citrus fruit. Peach and nectarine. Citrus concentrate and lemon. A little perfumed.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a light sour twist. Lingers for awhile. Finish is rather dry.

Well balanced and refreshing. And a bit generic.

On tap at Omnipollos Flora.

Pours a hazy dark yellow with soft head.

Smell is juicy and fruity with some floral hints. Notes of citrus, nectarine and a hint of mint.

Taste is juicy with a solid bitterness and nice fruitiness. Notes of grapefruit, orange, peach and grass.

Mouthfeel is medium, soft, pillowy and well carbonated.

Overall, a version of Fort Point that is fruitier than I remember the original being. Very tasty either way.
