Copenhagen 10/12 2025. 33 cl bottle from Øltanken webshop. A golden figure looking a bit like a primitive comb printed on the bottle. Quite elegant.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet malty and roasted odor mingling with sweet, dark alcohol. Dark roasted malts, syrup and brown sugar. Bourbon and coconut.
Low carbonation. Thick, oily, soft, fat, creamy, kind of flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sugary sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable sweet undertone, Lingering. Finish is bit dry with a heathy dose of alcohol.
Potent boozer with sweet and boozy schwung.

6 months old. Bottle to snifter.
L: Pours pitch black with a golden brown head that dissipates quickly without leaving any lacing. A few floaters visible.
S: Strong notes of maple syrup and roasted coconut. Hints of dark chocolate and coffee.
T: Maple syrup and roasted coconut again, but this time the coconut notes are more present. Dark coffee, dark chocolate. Malty, roasty and bitter with a minimal sweetness.
F: Creamy with a medium carbonation. Full without being oily or syrupy. Quite drinkable. Not too heavy.
O: Very nicely balanced Porter that doesn’t feel as strong as it is. The flavor combination with mostly roasty and bitter notes complemented by a subtle maple sweetness works very well. Not overly complex, but works exceptionally well as it is.
