Omnipollo BA Original Maple Truffle Ice Cream Waffle Imperial Pastry Stout, 15% ABV. Pours black and moderately thick with a ring of dark-brown bubbles that left no lacing. Aroma is bourbon, maple syrup, and chocolate. Taste is chocolate and bourbon stealing the show, with vanilla and maple syrup in their shadows, quite sweet, though not cloying, slight bitterness, and light bourbon burn. Decent mouthfeel, thick and smooth, light carbonation, leaves sticky lips. Overall outstanding.

Taken from ny notes in 2017: Bottle and tap at La Rovira.Black colour, almost no head, no retention nor lace. Aroma of chocolale, nuts, vanilla, moccha, red fruits. Full body, dense, creamy and sticky palate, flat carbonation. Taste of chocolate, nuts, rhum, vanilla, red fruits. Hot in your throat, like drinking a brandy. Excellent. 22/09/2017

This one pours a very dark black color, with a tiny quickly disappearing head, and not much lacing.
This smells decadent and sweet, with creamy vanilla, rich dark grade maple, and milk chocolate.
I wish there more barrel to this one, and it’s a bit sweet (nah, it’s a lot sweet) but it’s still tasty. It got tiring on the last half of it, but the interplay of chocolate and maple here is nice. There’s basically no booziness here, somehow, which is impressive given the higher ABV.
This is very thick, bordering on syrupy, but is reasonably drinkable for the style.
I haven’t had much Omnipollo in years, but clearly they are still on the mega sludge train.
