A dream collaboration with one of Germany’s most iconic lager breweries. • Brewed with all-German ingredients and a nod to tradition, but with a Swedish twist: the addition of knäckebröd (crispbread) to the mash. • Bitburger’s famously dry, assertive pilsner meets our church’s playful creativity. Pours a clear yellow with soft head.
Smell is crisp and bready with some spicy hints. Notes of knäckebröd, citrus, rye, wheat dough and toast.
Taste is bready with a solid bitterness. Clean and crisp with notes of knäckebröd, toast, citrus peel and rye with some spiciness on the finish.
Mouthfeel is medium, cream and well carbonated.
Overall, a terrific pilsner, best of both the modern and the classic.
