This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and no lacing.
This smells super chocolatey and fudgy, with caramel, vanilla, oak, peanut butter, and very sweet coconut.
Despite the long and complicated barrel list here, this doesn’t have a lot of barrel to it, as the “adjuncts” are pretty overwhelming. They’re definitely tasty, especially the peanuts and vanilla, but seemingly to me it’s the coconut that’s absolutely dominating, and sort of burying the barrel. I get a little bit of oaky and caramel and stuff, but not a lot.
This is very thick, almost syrupy, and not very boozy.
This was interesting, but much too sludgy and pastry heavy for me. Of course, it’s subtitled as a “Decade of Pastry” but still, some balance would be nice.
