On draft, pours a hazy cola brown, a little orange hue, with a thin ring of white head.
The nose is sweet and earthy. A little maple, candy sugar, mixed with dark fruit, pine, cherries and a little oak. The flavor is a bit medicine, good amount of alcohol, some spruce and mint, cherries, a little vinegar, wood. This is sticky and hot on the finish.
Overall, not bad, but I didn't love the base beer, so the barrel didn't save this.
