On tap:
This pour looked quite good with long sustaining head atop a lightly hazed orange copper body.
Nose was fairly light, but reminiscent of regular OTWOA. The gin was barely perceptible on a cold beer, but I am not noticing it warmer.

Taste, like the nose starts like regular OTWOA, but it only gets as far as the malt beginning. That's where the feel actually seems to thin lightly, and a woody taste comes in. This is followed by the gin notes, and they grow slowly and continuously to the end. Of course, the juniper adds a piney note, but there is also the astringent gin alcohol flavor. Underneath is the citrus/tropical from the base beer.

I can see how this might turn off people, especially those who love the base beer. I find it an interesting take on the beer, but must at least agree it doesn't improve it. To me it's a slow sipper, and sorta seems like a mixed drink, and is enjoyable in itself for that.

I am not a fan at all. The gin did not work at all with the IPA.

On draft, pours a dark murky orange brown color. Doesn't even look like OTWOA, alot more dark, would never guess a gin barrel by the look. Good carbonation with some white head.

The nose is spruce and pine, juniper, citrus hops, honey and faint caramel. A little earthy and herbal, chives. This is a pretty complex nose going on. The flavor is caramel and honey sweet up front followed by an explosion of herbs and spice, pine, a little juniper, some pepper. The citrus and juiciness of the base beer disappears and gives way to a more earthy. This was cool, but alot of what I like in the base beer is gone. It was interesting, but not the biggest BA gin beer guy.
