Most beers from DC seem to lack a lot of aroma. This is no exception. The feel and taste however are very nice. The word juicy comes to mind. A solid DIPA that I would buy again.

Cloudy straw color. Citrus and pine nose. Delightfully hoppy but the body is definitely too thin to hold up with the best-of-the-best DIPAs (including OTWOA).

Appearance: Arrives with a hazy amber body; the impressive head does a nice job lacing the glass
Smell: Citrus dominant, with some caramel malt and a hint of honey
Taste: The caramel and honey backbone arrives first and stands up to the citrusy hop blast that moves this beer into quite bitter territory; the finish brings on more of the honey influence and, it is worth noting that this doesn't taste like fermented honey; the honey taste is more like the sticky liquid that comes in a jar
Mouthfeel: Full body with moderate carbonation
Overall: The honey treatment is different from what I have tasted in other beers with the adjunct added and I cannot decide whether I really like it or not; I am somewhat ambivalent as I prefer dryer beers but it certainly is interesting

Quite good, not a huge fan of Honey IPA (Hopslam being the exception, although i still find it overrated). The honey added a bit more dryness than I would have liked. Honey boozyness isnt really my thing. I'm nitpicking here and sharing the negative. Very nice boozy citrusy/honey ipa in general.
