Style: Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout
Color: Dark Brown
IBU: 59
Specially brewed for the Jameson Caskmates Beer Garden at the 2018 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) in Denver, this Imperial Stout has been aged in Jameson whiskey barrels at the brewery. DC Brau is one of only 17 breweries chosen from across the United States to be part of this year’s partnership with Jameson Caskmates.
Tasting Notes: Your Pet Cow is black with dark brown hues and full bodied from the healthy amount of milk sugar she carries. Aromas of cocoa, cinnamon, hazelnut, and coffee jump out of your glass and over the moon. Flavors of vanilla and cherry accent a rich character of bakers chocolate and even chocolate syrup. As a matter of fact, Your Pet Cow is covered in chocolate, loves Jameson Irish Whiskey, and plays well with others, too.

Poured from a can into a pint glass.
Appearance: Big, bubbly tan head. Strong retention. Opaque dark brown body.
Smell: Bourbon oak, vanilla, burnt marshmallows, chicory.
Taste: Deep, roasty body. Lighter vanilla oak notes to balance on the finish. Not entirely cohesive, almost like you're drinking two different beers. But the components are tasty.
Feel: The malt body leaves a dry finish on the back of the tongue, while the whiskey character has a light, almost floral cleanness on the palate.
