Poured from the crowler into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Hazy with some turbidity and a slightly muddy yellow to brown body color. Very white topped head, with a big eggshell cream and whipped up look. Hits a solid three fingers with real thick lacing.
Aroma is quite stinky. Lots of earth on this one, with a big amount of dank quality. Strangely not that fruity but with a bigger dank and weedy tone. Hits a bit heavy and chalky as well.
Palate takes an interesting angle. Much less earthy tones on first sip and a nice pleasant mouthfeel. The beer hints a real thickness coming but comes with a standard very solid malt backbone. The hop angle also gets into more familiar territory it seems. Excellent orange notes and hints slightly tropical as well. Juicy angle is pleasant as well, but no as excessively large.
A pretty simple New England IPA but comes out slightly a bit different than expected.
