IPA - Session
Baby Wings delivers everything you love about its bigger sibling, just dialed into a lighter, more sessionable format. Expect a bright burst of citrus, tangerine and grapefruit layered with soft tropical notes of mango and pineapple. A gentle piney backbone keeps it grounded, while a lean malt bill adds just enough body without weighing it down. Crisp, clean, and highly drinkable, with a dry finish that keeps you coming back for another sip.

A fairly clear golden body, there is at least a little haze that lightens just a bit as I drink. Solid white head which becomes a thin covering with a medium color. Carbonation can be seen rising to support this, and a swirl easily revives the froth. There is some splotchy lacing.
Nose is hay and grass, presenting itself in a somewhat demure way. A little funk is in there as well - maybe a little bit of weed. It seems slightly muted, but this might be a part of the nature of being lower ABV. Taste is like many lower ABV beers to me, a bit "husky" - as in grain husks. Maybe having less sugars to ferment brings this out in these beers; I don't know but it is fairly typical for my palate. I do get some grapefruit pith, but I am also getting some weed and a mix of fruit skin and vegetable stalk in the "green" bitterness. Late bitterness has a bit of pine, which drifts into the aftertaste, which doesn't last too long.
A decent attempt at a style that doesn't often strike my fancy. It does work as a lighter offering that brings a decent dose of bitterness without weighing on you.
