Sampled draft 15 cl. as "Z.O.A.S" @ Modeste 2013. Unspecified barrels. Dark Furniture wood brown with little tanned head. Nose is warming, akin to a French spirit on wood, vinous & viscous, maple syrup & brett, strong spirit & chestnuts. Taste is brown sugar, brett & vinous (both feel like unintentional infection during BA), light sourness, reg. malts & BE yeast, syrup, candy sugar, warming spirit character & faint wood. Thick malty & less carb. Doesn’t feel like an entirely successful BA, it is nice to see a small BE brewery branching out. I did enjoy it a little bit more than the base beer.
