On tap at Beer Engine; this batch was hopped with Azacca. Fairly standard, but pretty, yellow-amber color, with a bit of decently persistent lacing. Smell is quite nuanced, with big notes of grapefruit, kumquats, tangerines, mango, pepper, and hetbs, with a hint of nutty malts and yeasty spiciness. Favor profile is assertively bitter, and a bit less nuanced than the aroma, but still quite good: grapefruity, peppery, and generally tropical hop flavors reminiscent of the aroma over a slightly crackery, slightly nutty and light malt backbone. Finish is dry, fruit, and bitter. Mouthful is fairly light, but not watety. A very nice session pale, indeed.
