Swung by Tap-House Munich again on 28SEP22.... Snagged a 0.33l bottle of this, for €7.90...
Poured jet black and opaque, with a creamy, dark tan head. Was a thin layer, mostly a rim job, with light lacing. Aroma comprised currants, raisins, dates and some espresso. Feel was pretty smooth but a bit light for the style. Body was still medium but lacked some ooomph for the style.
Taste had more espresso, dark choco, dates and raisins, plus some roasty action. The finish was dry, with some florality lurking about. Pretty nice, overall! Zum Wohl!!

Kinn Bresjnev Sovjet Staut, 750 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.0%. Hopped with Fuggles. Pitch black colour, moderate but lasting tan head. Strong dryish roasty aroma, notes of roast malts and coffee, some woodwork too. Medium dry flavour, just enough residual swetness to carry through the strong roasty notes of coffee and dark bitter chocolate. Fairly bitter finish, both from the hops and the roast malts.

750mL bottle poured into a pint glass
A: Dark brown, almost black with a 1.5 finger head
S: Cocoa/dark malts, hints of coffee and grilled meat
T: Matches the nose, minus the meat. Rich and toasty, adds a little bitterness
M: Medium to full bodied, a touch bitter, balanced
O: A quality RIS

L: deep dark brown color, one finger solid tan head, great retention and lacing.
S: iodine, smoky, peaty, coffee, dark chocolate, flavor of north sea wind.
T: taste of single malt island whiskey, looks like BA, iodine, peaty, smoked, tons of Colombian coffee with nice coffee sourness, toasted brown bread, dark bitter chocolate.
F: medium body, low carbonation, creamy, soft.
O: rich taste and flavor. ABV is pretty hidden, but warming, drinkable. At the moment it's the best RIS I've ever had. Magic beer. I like stouts more and more.

75cl bottle. Pours a very dark ruby, with a fine tall espresso head with decent retention. Smells of roasted malts, dark chocolate, dark cherries and smoke. Bitter taste, with notes of dark fruit, dark chocolate and tons of roasted malts. A bit lighter bodied than I was expected, but still, an enjoyable brew.
