From a 330ml bottle. Part of M&S own label craft beer range.
I like Windsor & Eton Brewery and this bland version of an APA is not at all representative of their capability. It looks flat, it smells of nothing, it tastes harsh and metallic, and it feels thin. Straight down the drain.

33cl bottle from local M&S. Pours a clear copper, with a very thin head. Smells like caramel and metal. The taste is bitter-sweet, a bit sour, but overall pretty bland.

Not a lot on the nose and a little cloudy. Bitterness comes through but the finish is not memorable and it is quite thin. Quaffable but not one to go back to.

330ml Bottle, poured into La Chouffe tulip.
A: Golden apple juice like appearance, clear, bubbly decent sized head with moderate retention.
S: The Nelson Sauvin hops were just about smellable, but only just.
T: Lots of charcoal which gave way to a bit of fruit. Pretty watery if the truth be told, bitterness kicked in at the finish.
M: Watery feel, not too much carbonation.
O: I expected a bit more from a beer with this particular hop (Nelson Sauvin & Mosaic) combo. Not bad but bland.

One of the new M & S branded beers, and my first from Windsor & Eton. Pours a reddish/brown colour with a small head that disappears quickly. Aromas of hops & faintly of caramel. Tastes quite strongly of hops with a little bitterness at the end. Feels of next to no carbonation. Overall fairly enjoyable.

330ml bottle served into a tulip glass
Look: Considering it's a pale ale it's pretty dark - looks sort-of murky but hold it up to the light and it's a rather gorgeous coppery red. Very little in the way of head and what foam does form disappears fairly quickly leaving a faint ring around the glass.
Smell: Quite a 'sweet' smell - heavily tilted towards the malt end of things with maybe the faintest hint of hops. Not something that's going to set the world on fire, but not bad nonetheless.
Taste: Most definitely not like the smell - the bottle blurb claims the use of British Sovereign and Nelson Sauvin hops and the latter are most definitely present in the taste. For something that smells rather malty, this has quite a hoppy 'punch' to it - more grass than citrus, but definitely more hop-forward than the smell would suggest.
Feel: Very little in the way of carbonation, and fairly watery mouthfeel. Long, dry aftertaste.
Look: This beer is another one of the 'craft' range brewed for Marks & Spencers and, truth be told, it's one of the better ones. It's decently hoppy, although not in a shred-yer-face-off IPA kind of way, and streets ahead of the, frankly disappointing, double-hopped Citra. One of Windsor & Eton's better brews, and worth a punt if you happen to see it in your local M&S.

M+S labelled beer.
Golden brown with very little head.
Sweet hops and malt on the nose. Nice.
Grass and burnt rubber. Some digestive biscuit. Taste does not match the aroma.
Rather thin with little carbonation.
