I had this at Hunahpu's Day when it won first place, and really thought it was a pretty basic Stout, exhibiting mild roast, mixed nuts, a bit of an airiness, and some cocoa and cola. Being a non-flavored Stout at a pastry-heavy festival is definitely going to skew my palate, but I've had plenty of wonderful base Stouts in my day, and to win best beer at such a heavy hitting festival? C'mon.
