A clear, golden beer with a small head. Looks filtered.
Smell is bready with a nice malty undertone. Hints of honey. It smells a bit like lavender.
Taste is light malty with hints of amber malt, which gives the impression of honey and freshly baked bread. Bitterness is clean and reveals itself after swallowing, leaving an above average bitterness for a blond. This bitterness disappears quickly. The mouthfeel is sweet and a little sticky. Not syrupy, bit sweet. Drinkability is OK.

Had on tap in Valloire , France served in logo glassware.
Clear gold with a sudsy head that dropped to a collar.
Smell is fruity and yeasty.
Tastes really good... sweet malt, honey , pome fruits, bubblegum, a slight bit of funk ( just a suggestion) that made it hint of saison.
This was our favorite beer in France and not easy to find on tap....but we looked every place we could.
Body was medium. Carbonation medium.
A very drinkable Belgian Pale.

A "Le Baton de Feu" is a wooden emblem carved with symbols to ward off evil spirits and is placed in front of houses in France.
This beer pours a cloudy amber with a moderate head. The nose is sweet and caramely. The taste is honey caramel and sweet with a light hop bite. Nothing incredible, but solid nonetheless. I found it to be pleasantly drinkable.
The second time I had this beer (at another bar) I found it to have a slight butterscotch flavor that makes me think that bottle was infected. I didn't review that bottle.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
