Poured from a jeroboam bottle at zwanze day 26, so 5 years of age. Dark orange cloudy body, off-white foam cap. Big horseblanket and lesser so barnyard funk right away in the smell, lemon, grapefruit rind, apple, and delicate floral yeast are the compliments to the funk. Wow this has aged wonderfully, with the funks leading but artfully settling in to lift up the fruits from the nose, plus hay really emerging on the palate, with secondary flowers, rustic oak, and a touch of cheesecloth funk. Feel is dry and bright with a wonderful funkiness that is oak backed, just a hit of sour no acidity

Poured from a 3L jeroboam on the occasion of Zwanze Day 2022, happy belated 60th birthday to Paul Girardin last year. Thanks to Max for pouring!
Bright gold, a finger of foam that faded to a thin skim with some spotty lace.
Aroma was full on horseblanket funk, wet hay, brie rind, grapefruit peel, lemon.
Taste was grapefruity, lemon and aged oak, mild honey flavor, zero oxidative properties.
Medium bodied with visible carb, soft on the palate. Masterfully done.
