Poured from a can at fridge temp. Pours a dark brown (almost black) with about an inch of off-white head. The nose is coffee, sweet vanilla, some roasted malts, sweet toffee, and some dark fruit. The taste is fantastic. Perfect mix of vanilla, coffee, and sweet toffee. Very malty with a bit of roasted malts. Slight black licorice and and blackberry. Lovely, with a creamy mouthfeel.

Appearance - Pours a deep mahogany brown with two fingers of foamy tan head.
Smell - Roasted coffee bean and chocolate malts, cocoa bean, vanilla, hint of bourbon, earthy and leafy hops.
Taste - Rich roasted flavours from the malts and coffee beans, with a bit of the bourbon-soaked vanilla bean and hops providing support. Roasty without being too sweet or two bitter. Touch of chocolate/cocoa.
Mouthfeel - Medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth and rich finish.
Overall - A warm and roasty porter from the folks at Tofino Brewing. Great smooth body and rich in flavour.

650ml bottle - gonna have to crank up some classic Megadeth as an accompaniment to this offering.
This beer pours a clear, dark auburn-tinted brown colour, with two zaftig fingers of puffy, finely foamy, and somewhat bubbly beige head, which leaves some layered and streaky cirrus cloud pattern lace around the glass as it quickly evaporates.
It smells of rich artisanal coffee, roasted caramel malt, real vanilla, and some plain earthy, leafy, and piney green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy caramel malt, weak cafe-au-lait, stale chocolate, some mealy nuttiness, a bit of free-range char, woody vanilla, and more understated earthy, herbal, and floral hoppiness.
The carbonation is adequate in its palate-satisfying frothiness, the body a so-so medium weight, and sort of smooth, as that ashy essence takes the sheen off of things here. It finishes off-dry, the malt, fading milky coffee, and vanilla presiding.
Overall - yeah, there are certainly a lot of different flavours extant in this brew, however, they don't really ever come together as a whole. The coffee starts strong, but wanes a little bit too quickly, and I find myself more interested in the music playing in the background, than what to do with the rest of this bomber.

Pours deep chestnut with some red highlights around edges. Surprisingly thin head with virtually no retention. Aroma is primarily coffee, roasted malts, with a touch of lactose and milk chocolate. Taste is a good balance of coffee with milk with roast and chocolate notes complimented by a slightly woody hop bitterness at the finish. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, with moderately high carbonation. This is a very drinkable coffee beer that packs in solid flavor without going overboard. Cheers!

pine licorice aroma -- where's the coffee?; full bodied, bitter at the finish, pretty aggressive especially at the end, certainly feel the alcohol at the end too. Don't get any coffee on the taste.

Serving: 650 mL bottle poured into a small tasting glass.
Appearance: Pours a deep, dark brown with nice khaki head. A good fringe of khaki foam remains and leaves nice lacing.
Smell: Roasted malt, burnt caramel, coffee grinds and vanilla extract.
Taste: Medium malty body, balanced between caramel sweetness and dry roast. Chocolate and coffee follow, with vanilla and hints of bourbon in the close.
Mouthfeel: Medium body and carbonation; smooth without being full.
Overall: Session drinking feel with some terrific roast malt and coffee notes.
