Drunk as a Cask Ale. A nice copper color with a little haziness. A thin head with a slightly hoppy aroma. A citrusy and slightly earthy dank aroma. Taste is similar. A little hoppier than most British beers. Nice

Cask. Copper colour. Slight haze. Thin dense head. Sticky, down to the base lacing.
Hoppy aroma. Oranges and peach.
Tastes similar. Balancing malt present. Bitter finish.
Soft cask feel.
Enjoyable mid Atlantic IPA.

Blind-tasted except for the beer's name and brewery/country, zero reviews below read (yet!)...
L- Mid-amber, pours clear, with a 3mm white head.
S- Oh my, a perfumed citrus front here.
T- Not a hipster hop-bomb as the smell^ suggested, it's rounder with gentler hops and some malts. IDK though the overall taste is a bit artificial, synthetic.
F- Like an ale with some added contemporary perfumed and mild citrus notes to it.
O- Modern I suppose but middle of several roads so unlikely to catch lasting attention. Sure it might win fans of hoppy/modern/citrus type IPAs but fewer new converts.
Review #1915/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the bottle lables to see what I missed! ==> 'Honey, nectar, tropical citrus and floral notes'. And I think I'll leave it right there....
500ml bottle BB: Mar-2022 £1.80 Bought from Sainsbury, Edgeware Road, London.

On cask at Cask in London.

Beer is a clear dark golden, with a small but very stable white head. Great retention.

Citrus hops in the nose, some grapefruit. Biscuity malt. A bit faint.

Taste contains toasted, biscuity malt and a restrained citrus fruit component (grapefruit). Really a mix between a British and American IPA to me. Hop flavours are on the American side, but the levels are more restrained than a typical American IPA. Larger malt body as well. Restrained bitterness. Nice.

Medium bodied, low natural carbonation level. Slightly oily.

Overall, quite nice.

Gravity halfpint at the Sebright Arms.

A: Clear pale amber body; fine, sticky, off-white head. Nice lace. Just lovely.

S: Quite hoppy, with citrus and tropical fruits standing out. Some biscuity malt is clearly extant as well. Quite nice.

T: Follows the nose - tasty, fruity hops dominate, with a solid malt backbone giving it good body. Clean, bitter finish. Yum.

M: Smooth, creamy medium body. Very, very good.

O: This was a terrific IPA, with the NZ hops delivering a great range of fruity notes. One of the best casks on offer at the Sebright's London ale festival.

Cheers!

Pint at the Craft Beer co.

A: Bronze, clear, small thin head, small amount of lacing.

S: Citrus with a hint of strawberry and diacetyl.

T: Followed the nose, the malty backbone was pretty strong.

M: Smooth, didn’t over do the carbonation.

O: Wasn’t bad but I can’t say I was blown away.

Served from the cask into a true imperial pint glass in London. Reviewed from notes.

A: Half a finger of head with slight cream and of decent thickness. Good retention. Cloudy gold-copper colour.

Sm: Crystal malt and hops (very hoppy), slight caramelized malt, and full barley. A mild strength aroma.

T: Pale hops, bittering hops on the climax, full barley for the foundation, slight caramelized malt, and pleasant fringe notes me palate isn't refined enough to identify. Simple, but nice. Fairly balanced. Built without focus or inspiration, sadly.

Mf: Smooth and wet. Fairly complementary of the taste.

Dr: Easy drinkability, a standard price by London standards, and fair quality. Give her a spin, lads.

Cask from the Craft Beer Co London

Hazy, oily golden pour with a solid finger of cask head that stays long and leaves some nice oily lace.

Nose is incredible. Kiwi/new world hops of pine, some banana, grape skin, and honey malt notes. Huuuge.

Taste is no let down. More pine and some pineapple and passionfruit. Goes perfectly with the honey and just biscuity malt. Devine. An very ripe orange flavour I can't quite place. Amarilla hops maybe. Yum just the same.

Smooth and medium full mouth feel goes down a dream.

Such a fantastic drop. Best I've had from the London craft scene in a while
