Pours copper with a white head displaying good lace and retention. Aroma is very mild with caramel and hints of fruity hops and esters. Flavor has lots of caramel malt, some citrus hop notes and esters in the background, cookielike malt finish with a touch of lingering bitterness. Very balanced, clean, and light on the palate. Moderate thickness on the body, surprisingly thick though, medium to lower carbonation goes well with it. A very balanced pale ale, somewhat of a hybrid between American and English interpretations of the style. Not exciting to the beer geek, but I could see just about anybody drinking a pint of this one.
